An incomplete Medieval lead alloy pilgrim ampulla (c 1300-c. 1500). The neck has been removed and one suspension loop is missing, although the stubs of the loop are present. The circular body has a raised crown on one side and a 'compass-drawn' flower of four petals on the other side. The crown is now barely visible. Between each petal there is raised hatching. Incomplete Medieval silver gilt annular brooch with a break in the circular hoop which was originally soldered together. The brooch is now missing its pin which would have had a looped terminal opposite the pointed end to allow it to rotate around the hoop and to move along its length. A lead papal bulla of Pope Urban IV (1261-1264). The obverse has a pelleted border, and has the raised letters in three lines: VR / BANVS / PP IIII. PP stands for 'pastor pastorum'. The reverse has a pelleted border surrounding two bearded heads each enclosed in an elipse of pellets, either side of a cruciform sword. The heads represent Saints Peter and Paul, indicated by the abreciations SPA and SPE above the heads. A bulla such as this would serve to seal and authenticate papal documents. Incomplete medieval cast copper alloy hinged plate-and-loop type book clasp, broken sheet hinged end recessed and folded widthways, and containing the separate narrowed bar set in drilled holes in the sides of the separate cast terminal comprising an oval plate with a central perforation and stylised animal-head terminal with transverse perforation. The functions of the two holes have been explained by Egan (1998, 278-9). Extant combined length 26.5mm, length of terminal 22mm. Width 10.5mm. Thickness at terminal 3mm. c.1350-1450.

A copper alloy annular brooch from a Medieval date, circa AD 1200 - 1450. The undecorated brooch frame, and the tip of the pin are slightly bent / distorted. The frame is "D" shaped in cross-section, and the attached cast pin is circular in cross-section. The pin has a transverse collar between the end of the shaft and start of the pin attachment loop. The frame measures 30.37mm in length, is 27.89mm wide, weighs 7.4g, and is 2.93mm in thickness. The pin has a length of 27.46mm.

Near complete cast copper-alloy buckle pin of mid Medieval c.1250-1450AD. Description: The buckle pin is simple with a tapering point and quite thin with an elongated oval cross-section. About half loop has snapped away and this is likely to have caused its' loss. There is a substantial transverse ridge on the top side just prior to the loop with some incised ridges. A silver cut half of a voided long cross penny of Henry III (1216-1272), Long cross coinage (1247-1272), Class IIIc (1248-1250) with short beard and pellet-footed 'R'. The obverse inscription begins at 12 o'clock, which indicates that the class belongs to I-III, and on the reverse the inscription reads [A]SO/NG/, which suggests that the moneyer was Lucas (Class IIb-IIIc) and the mint Gloucester. The full inscription would therefore have read LVC/ASO/NG/LOV.

A complete copper alloy Miniature Vessel of probable Medieval date (AD 1400-1550). The object is a one piece cast miniature bellied cauldron with two looped handles at the upper open end and a rounded base. Within the lower body of the object is a single circular drilled perforation. Height: 36.89mm, Width: 24.39mm, Thickness: 1.54mm, Weight: 26.2g. The metal is a dark green in colour with a slightly pitted patina. Similar examples can be seen on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database: HAMP2429 and SWYOR-7C0C95.
