An incomplete Medieval lead alloy pilgrim ampulla (c 1300-c. 1500). The neck has been removed and one suspension loop is missing, although the stubs of the loop are present. The circular body has a raised crown on one side and a 'compass-drawn' flower of four petals on the other side. The crown is now barely visible. Between each petal there is raised hatching. An incomplete post-Medieval copper-alloy mount (c. 1500-c. 1700). This mount is flat on the front and reverse and the surviving part is in the form of a fleur-de-lis with an integral rectangular panel. At the front, the edges are bevelled. The stub of an integral spike survives on the reverse. The mount is red with patches of a green patina. Length: 20.7mm; width: 29.9mm; overall thickness: 4.0mm. Weight: 4.58g. Compare with ESS-5B4397; IOW-0B3DF5 and SWYOR-324813.

Cast copper Roman brooch of 'T' shaped form, incomplete, the foot being missing. The bow is divided into three, longitudinal panels by two ribs. These are separated from the foot by two transverse grooves, below which are two, angled grooves. The bow is angled at the point where it meets the two wings. These are round sectioned and contain traces of iron pin (revealed by a magnet). Between the wings is a notch into which was fitted a self-tensioned pin. On the end of the head are the remains of a loop. Length 26.0mm, Width 15.8mm Height 10.2mm, Mass 3.80g.

Complete lead biconical spindle whorl of probable medieval date (c. 1200 - 1500 AD). The object is circular in plan and triangular in section, with a circular central perforation. Both faces are decorated with a moulded design of alternating lines and dots, with the lines running from the raised edge of the central perforation to the thickened outer edge of the spindle whorl. Modern copper alloy button. It is 16.1mm in diameter, weighs 1.3g, and has 2 centrally located 2.6mm diameter attachment holes within an 8.3 x 5.2mm oval recess. It has impressed lettering with J. GODDARD CARLTON around the edge. John Goddard is listed in trade directories as being in business as a tailor in Carlton in 1870 and 1877, but is not mentioned in the 1863 or 1881 directories (although William Goddard is in the 1861 and 1863 editions as a tailor, and is presumably related). Recorded as of local interest.

Bronze age copper alloy arrowhead 18mm long, 13mm wide and 2mm thick with a weight of 1.12g. The object is sub triangular in form and ovoid in cross section. It is an almost complete barbed and tanged arrowhead, missing part of one tang. It appears to have been roughly cast and has a slightly bevelled edge on one face, suggesting one piece mould? Similar to WILT-807272 WMID-CE6A76 SF6680. .
