An incomplete and warped cast copper-alloy object, possibly a harness fitting of Medieval date (See discussion). Description: The object is fragmentary surviving as a shank roughly D-shaped in cross-section. at one complete end is a large rectangular loop (now highly warped and squashed). At the other end of the shank is a squashed round mounting point, although it is broken across its width. The object is patinated mid-brown and light green and the breaks are worn. A fragmented Roman hair pin possibly of 1st-2nd century AD. Description: The pin has a median length tapering shank which has snapped just after a swelling collar. The head is roughly globular with a slight indent between the head and the shank by a wide flat swollen collar. The break between collar and shank has occurred in antiquity although perhaps not as old as the loss of the pin. Measurements: 79.86mm, 7.95mm (wide at the head, diameter) and 5.25g in weight.

Incomplete Roman copper-alloy bell shaped stud, an Allason-Jones Type 1 (c. 43 - 410 AD). The object is circular in form, with a long conical projection on the front face. The tip of the conical projection is broken and abraded. Three transverse parallel grooves decorate the conical projection, and there is a hole on one side, within and below which sits a patch of red-brown corrosion. The object is formed of a hollow, square body with four symmetrical arms that terminate in square sockets. The edges of the sockets are bent and worn in a way suggestive of heavy use. A fragmented cast copper-alloy sword belt plate and hanger c.16th century (see Read 2008, 220). Description: This sword belt hanger survives as the right end of the main sword belt plate originally designed with three suspension loops for three plates. Now only one of the loops survives with the hook and the top of the hanger remaining. Incomplete lead-alloy button of medieval date (c. 1300 - 1400 AD). The button is domed. It is decorated on the domed face with a moulded weave design and finished with a central circular knop. A casting seam is visible across the back face, as well as the worn stump of an integrally-cast attachment loop, now missing. The object is 15.72mm in diameter, 7.26mm in thickness and weighs 4.79g. A similar example can be seen in Bailey (2004) Buttons and Fasteners 500BC-AD1840, p. 19, fig. 6.7, where it is dated to the 14th- 15th century.

The coin has not been adapted in any other way. Measurements: Diameter 27.79mm: Thickness 1.86mm: Weight 8.3g. Discussion: The diameter and thickness of the object suggest it to be a halfpenny from one of the reigns of William III to George III, probably adapted to be used as an engraving practice-piece.

A worn and incomplete copper alloy Sword belt hanger from a Post-Medieval date, AD1500-1700. Its body is sub-triangular, has a three lobed terminal at one end, and the stem of the missing hook at the other. Between the two, its worn surface has lost most of the foliate design. There are two rivet holes spaced along its centre line. The object measures 47.6mm in length, has a width of 20.2mm, the body is 1.8mm thick, and the stem of the hook 3.56mm in diameter.

A fragment of medieval, cast lead pilgrims ampulla. Description: The fragment consists of part of the neck of the ampulla with the remains of an attachment loop on each side. The fragment takes the form of a hollow tube, now squashed flat. The top of the neck has been cut at an oblique angle and the bottom edge of the fragment is roughly torn across; damage done in antiquity.
