Roman to early Medieval lead alloy vat 320mm in length 250mm in wide and 130mm high. The object is circular in form and appears to be sub oval in cross section, but it is very distorted. It has a solid triangular cross sectioned rim, aligned so that it has a flat upper surface. This is 11mm wide and tapers into the body below around 10mm from the upper edge. The vessel is very squashed but appears to have two deliberate ridges, one is very slight and forms a 'foot' around its slightly concave underside. Roman copper alloy bell, 45mm long, 45mm wide and 27mm thick with a weight of 30.29g. The object is now incomplete and has been squashed, but appears to have had a rectangular cross section and a triangular form. But it has a complete integral suspension loop, 16 x13 x5mm, which has a circular hole and a slight 'hexagonal' form with a distinct angle at each side.
