An early Medieval or Medieval copper alloy buckle plate and pin (fused into position).
The buckle plate is made from a single sheet of rectangular copper alloy and is folded. Where it folds it has a central rectangular hole to accomodate the pin, which is present as it is fused onto the plate. It is quite long with a circular cross section. At each edge it has a rectangular recess cut away to allow for the buckle frame, now missing. It is decorated on one side with an incised ring and dot pattern over three rows. A copper alloy fragment of a decorated, probably double loop, oval buckle frame. The fragment has moulded decoration in the form of a letter B within scrolls, surmounted by a trefoil knop. The reverse side is undecorated and flat. Circa 16th-17th century.

Post medieval copper alloy double loop buckle dating to the period c. AD 1650 - 1720. Oval, frame, the inner edge bevelled, with a narrowed and offset strap bar.
