A silver Roman denarius of Julia Mamaea (AD 221-235), dating to the period AD 221-235 (Reece period 11). PROVIDENTIA AVG reverse type depicting Providentia standing left holding corn ears over modius(?) and anchor? This is a contemporary copy or hybrid combining types of Julia Mamaea and probably those of Severus Alexander. Prototype of the mint of Rome. Cf. BMC VI, p. 212, no. 1002 for a similar hybrid example. It is 18.8mm in diameter and 2.1mm thick. It weighs 2.36gm.

An incomplete and heavily corrded copper-alloy Roman coin, probably an as or dupondius of unclear 1st to 3rd century AD ruler, dating to the period AD 41-260. Reverse type is illegible due to corrosion. The coin is 23.7mm diameter, 3.8mm thick and 6.4g.
