A Roman copper alloy and silver washed coin; a radiate of Gordian III (AD 238 - 244) dating to AD 241 (Reece period 12). Probably P M TR P III COS II P P reverse depicting Apollo seated left holding laurel branch and resting left arm on lyre. Minted at Rome. Compare Sear number 8643 on page 120 of Volume III and RIC IV pt III, p.25 no.87. It is 19.9mm long, 16.7mm wide and 2.2mm thick. It weighs 2.29gm.
