A fragment of ceramic vessel of Early-Medieval date, c.AD 600 - 1100. The fragment is a rim sherd from an uncertain vessel type. The fabric is a dark grey with a lighter, pale-brown exterior. It contains common, ill-sorted, angular calcite inclusions. The sherd is 45.4mm long, 44.2mm wide, 9.2mm thick and weighs 22.5g.

An incomplete copper-alloy strap end of Early-Medieval date, c.AD 750 - 950. The strap end is of Thomas' Class A, Type 1 with zoomorphic terminal and Trewhiddle style decoration. The strap end is sub-ovate in shape with a zoomorphic terminal at the closed end and an open split terminal at the attachment end. The lower plate of the attachment has been lost to a worn break. The zoomorphic terminal is in the form of a forward facing animal head. The decoration is too worn to be adequately determined. Copper alloy probable finger ring fragment, as kindly suggested by the finder. A cast oval bezel with a short tapered continuation with a rounded end on one side, apparently complete, and a recent break on the other suggesting the loss of an equivalent feature. The bezel itself bears a central rib with four ring and dot of diameter 1.6mm to either side. Ring and dot was a decorative technique used at various periods from the later Iron Age onwards, but which enjoyed a Viking-Age revival. Late Saxon copper alloy stirrup-strap mount dating to the period c. AD 1000 - 1100. Trapezoidal with upward-tapering sides and scalloped upper edge, 3.2mm. thick. The front face exhibits an engraved geometric decoration inlaid with degraded niello comprising a central cross surrounded by geometric shapes. An incomplete copper-alloy Early Medieval to Medieval hook tag, dating to AD 600-1200. It is sub-triangular in plan and bears three attachement holes along the upper edge. The opposite end is broken through the fold of the backward facing hook. The upper edge has a shallow V-shaped notch in between the holes. The tag is dented and slightly bent in its lower part. A late Early-Medieval copper alloy barrel-shaped weight. The weight is globular, solid, and has a flattened surface at opposing ends. Both flat surfaces are decorated with a pair of punched ring and dot motifs. The weight has a height of 11.5mm, a diameter of 14mm and a weight of 7.19g. Similar barrel-shaped weights are recorded on the PAS database. While some bear ring and dot motifs (LIN-3A4E60, LIN-0E64A2), the style of decoration can vary (SF-B137C2, SF-334CE5, SF-4B1547)

A lead spindle whorl of Early Medieval to post-Medieval date. It appears to be Walton Rogers Form A1, suggesting a date of about AD 500 - 850 (owing to the fairly small central aperture). However, traces of cast decoration on the curved face may suggest a later date, up to AD 1600. One face is flat and one is convex. There is a central perforation which has a maximum diameter of 8mm.
