A complete copper alloy Livery Button of the Modern period, AD 1875 - 1895. The right hand side of the Crest on the front of the button is indistinct, and can only be guessed at. The central design is a right forearm held out/up approximately 40 degrees from the horizontal level and its hand grips a short Sword pointing upwards. At the point where the Cuff would be of a sleeve, there is decoration suggesting it might be part of a Military uniform :- ie:- probably 4 bands of Braid. A worn and incomplete copper alloy Livery Button from a Modern date,c:- AD 1840 - 1845. The front of the button bears the Crest of an unusual animal, the exact likeness/record of which I have been unable to trace. It is possibly a Hound, but its neck seems overly long, it faces left with its jaws open and with its pointed tongue out. It has tufted ears vertical above its head. Down the nape of its neck are four small equally spaced marks, but because of the worn condition of the button they are both difficult to see and identify.
