A copper-alloy Roman vessel escutcheon, probably from a bucket or similar vessel, dating to AD 43-410. It consists of an elongated inverted sub-triangle mount, which has the long sides slightly concave. The upper edge has an upward expanded circular loop, which is set parallel to the rest of the mount. the upper part of the triangle is slightly bent forward while the loop stays parallel to the lower part of the mount. The surfaces are heavily worn.
