Broad period: MESOLITHIC
County: Norfolk
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation Find awaiting validation
Three transversely snapped soft hammer struck tertiary bladelets, found together, of unpatinated mottled grey flint, two with a small amount of iron stains. All three are the proximal end, though one has a steeply retouched notch to one edge just below the platform, as the flint is unpatinated, it is difficult to tell if the breaks are intentional or accidental. Possibly Mesolithic, though could well be later in date. Largest: 27.5 x 16 x 4 mm. Notched piece: 24 x 11.5 x 3.5 mm. Smallest: 21 x 10.5 x 2 mm. 3 g in total.
