An incomplete post medieval copper alloy rose/orb jetton of Hans Schultes III struck at Nuremberg c.1608-12. Extremely worn, distorted and missing parts of the flan. Obverse: Rose surrounded by three alternating crowns and fleurs. Legend : +[GLI]CK : KVMPT : VON : G[OT] IST WAR. (Truly, good fortune comes from God). Reverse: Orb surmounted by a cross pattee within a three arched tressure. Legend: + HANS : SCHVL[TES] : ZV : NV[RE]NB. Cinquefoil initial mark. Diameter 21.4mm.

A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy zoomorphic knife end-cap (terminal stop) from a scale-tang knife (c. 1500-c.1600). The cap has an elongated oval base from which projects two symmetrical, opposing animal heads, probably those of dogs. They are separated by a deep central groove. On the underside there is a slot running from side to side filled with the corroded remains of an iron tang. Height: 16.7mm; width: 15.6mm; thickness: 8.3mm. Weight: 6.04g. An incomplete Roman copper-alloy finger-ring (c. AD 300-410). The bezel is off-set to one side of the hoop and may have been designed as such. There is a small break on the edge of the bezel. This finger-ring has a flat, circular bezel which is decorated with a pattern of incised lines within a circular border. Cast copper alloy strap end front plate missing the back plate with bent sides in the form of a shield in plan with a lobed knop extension at the terminal end. A copper alloy handle for a tool or kitchen implement, probably something like a skimmer which used to collect solid foods from stews. It consists of a flat piece of sheet metal rounded at the broken end to form a socket and flattened at the other end to form a thumb grip with a perforation that is 3 mm in diameter in the centre of the rounded terminal, probably for suspension near the fire. Copper alloy small rotary key with a circular bow. The solid stem has a round section with a bead and collar at the bow end. The bit consists of perpendicular vertical and horizontal clefts, the former of which opens to the front side of the bit. The rear of the bit is solid and does not have any wards or clefts opening to it. The stem terminates beyond the bit in a narrowed projecting tip. Circa AD1250-1350. A similar key is recorded as LIN-ECBE74 on this database.
