Incomplete Post-Medieval cast copper alloy double loop asymmetrical buckle dating to c. AD 1575 to 1700. The buckle is slightly trapezoidal in plan and has one sub-rectangular loop and one D-shaped loop on either side of the central bar. The loops are trapezoidal in section with bevelled sides and a flat back. The outer edge of the rectangular loop has six lobed knops. The fragment is sub-rectangular, tapering from a complete terminal to a worn break, with a slightly curved profile. A perforation is present at the terminal end. An everted rim sherd of a wheel-thrown ceramic Black Burnished Ware (Type BB2) jar of Roman date, circa AD 120 - 250. The fabric has a light brown core with a hard and silky texture and black burnished outer surface. Abundant sand temper is present within the fabric. The fragment is 42.2mm long, 16.4mm wide, 9.7mm thick and weighs 7.7g. Overall diameter: 12cm (projected using rim chart); approx.13% remaining. BB2 wares were produced at sites around the Thames estuary (Kent and Essex) and distributed in south-east England and in northern Britain during the 2nd and 3rd centuries AD.

Fragment of Early Saxon copper alloy cruciform brooch dating to the period c. AD 470 - 520. The headplate is square with a slightly raised central panel and old breaks along three edges. Faint traces of zig zag decoration running along each long edge of the central panel. On the reverse is an incomplete semi-circular pin lug with traces of iron corrosion from the missing pin mechnism. The bow arches from the headplate with a rectangular collar at the junction between headplate and bow. It is faceted with a central triangular ridge and terminates in an old break.
