A complete copper alloy medieval single loop buckle, dating from c. AD 1350-1450. The loop widens on the outer frame, and is rounded, with a central recess for the pin to sit in. The buckle is flat on both sides, and it is rectangular in cross section. The pin bar is recessed, and squared at each end. The pin consists of a piece of copper alloy wrapped around the pin bar, and narrowing towards the point. The pin is shorter than the frame and is about half the length at 8.4mm.
