A gold cloisonné insert probably from the tongue of an early Anglo-Saxon buckle. The item is pelta-shaped and comprises a panel of gold, garnet and glass cloisonné cellwork, containing around thirty settings/inlays. It is formed from a gold sheet base plate, to which has been soldered a network of cells made from upright strips of gold sheet. This cellwork includes a large central setting around 8.2mm wide, now empty. The surrounding cells are of various shapes, with 12 red inlays (probably garnets) and three blue glass inlays surviving. An incomplete copper-alloy zoomorphic figurine, probably of Roman date, c.AD 43-410. It depicts a crouched hare in a relaxed pose with the front legs stretched forward. The details of the back leg, the tail and the head are still visible; the long ears are extended rearwards. The base of the figurine respects the animal details but it bears a circular cross-sectioned broken protrusion, which might have been the upper part of a shaft.

A silver medieval shilling of Edward VI (AD 1547-1553) dating to the third period, 1551-3. Tun initial mark, mint of London. North 1991, volume II, page 123, number 1937.
On the reverse of the coin above the shield the letters 'i H' have been inscribed. There are scratch marks across the bust of the obverse. In the second quarter on the reverse there is a circular silver rivet that has pierced through the coin, cutting through the inscription. It pierces through at the U or M of DEUM.

A copper alloy Livery Button from a Modern date, c:- AD 1840 - 1900. The front of the button bears the head of a Gryphon facing left, with a Crown around its neck. In Heraldic terms this is described as "ducally gorged". It's surface has been silvered, and it shows little sign of wear. On the reverse the suspension loop is intact, but the manufacturers details have been made uncertain through wear.
The button measures 16.41mm in diameter, is 1.18mm thick, weighs 2.5g, and the suspension loop has a diameter of 5.38mm.

An incomplete copper alloy Livery Button of a Modern date, c:- AD 1840 - 1900. The front of the button bears the head of a Gryphon facing left with a Crown around its neck. In Heraldic terms this is described as "ducally gorged". Through wear, it has lost nearly all sign that it has been gilded. The suspension loop on its reverse is missing, but the makers name and address survive:-

A complete cast lead alloy spindle whorl possibly of the Early Medieval to Post Medieval period (AD1000-1600).
The object is discoid in shape with flat sides and surfaces with an irregular central circular perforation.The cast lines, forming triangles, decorating the upper surface are arranged to form a 6-pointed star or hexagram pattern around the central perforaiton.The general patina of the metal is a light grey and pale brown colour.

A complete medieval copper alloy folding clasp, dating from c. 1350-1400. The clasp has a rectangular shaped frame, near the outer edge the frame is slightly raised either side, and has a sub circular notch in. A complete copper alloy double loop medieval buckle, dating to AD 1400-1600 . The buckle frame is rectangular in shape, with the inside of the two loops a D shape. The outer frame of both loops has a slight triangular projection, and is bevelled on the outside. The inside of the frame is also bevelled. The pin bar is sub triangular in shape. It has an iron wire pin that is wrapped around the pin bar, and is an orange brown colour. The buckle measures 22.3mm in length, 17.2mm in width, and weighs 2.29g.
Similar buckles can be seen in Whitehead 1996, page 57, numbers 334-337.
