A post medieval copper alloy mount with integral pointed lugs, dating to the c. 17th century AD. The mount is a quatrefoil shape forming a floral design, with a raised pellet in the centre and a raised oval shape extending outwards on four sides creating a cross. On the reverse the mount is concave, with a lug in each quarter. Three of these are worn and broken, the fourth is curved round on itself, and ends in a point. The mount has a mid green patina, and measures 30.9mm in length, 29.6mm in width, 7.9mm in thickness, and weighs 11.45g. A similar mount can be seen in Read 2001, p…

Post Medieval copper alloy mount, probably related to hooked mounts of similar form. The mount has a circular mid-section, domed with a convex front and concave back. From the domed section at one end projects a flat lobed terminal flanked by smaller lobes. At the other is a flat projecting terminal which starts with a circle with an attachment hole thorugh the centre and a small projecting lobed terminal. Post Medieval cast copper alloy strap mount, dating to the 17th century AD. In plan the central and largest part of the mount is sub-triangular in shape, at the wide base-end there is a rectangular shaped projecting terminal whilst the opposite apex-end terminates in an acorn-shaped knop with a semi-circular base, transverse collar and rounded 'nut' coming to a point at the top. Broken Post Medieval copper alloy mount with integral attachment spikes, about 50% of which survives. The front of the mount is bar shaped with a convex front and slightly concave back. an oval lobe at one end and double collar across a constiction before the broken end. It is likely there was a second oval love, now lost. One integral rivet remains. It is rectangular in cross section, tapering towards a blunt end and projects 13.4mm down from the back of the complete end before bending 90 degrees in towards the centre. A copper-alloy Medieval to Post Medieval mount, dating to AD 1400-1600. It is an oblong plate which is sub-rectangular in the lower part (18.03 mm long), waisted almost in the middle and it ends with a flat oval knob in its top part. It is slightly arched in profile, curving forward. Both faces are very encrusted and do not seem to bear any decoration, although traces of white metal coating are visible.
