A silver medieval shilling of Edward VI (AD 1547-1553) dating to the third period, 1551-3. Tun initial mark, mint of London. North 1991, volume II, page 123, number 1937.
On the reverse of the coin above the shield the letters 'i H' have been inscribed. There are scratch marks across the bust of the obverse. In the second quarter on the reverse there is a circular silver rivet that has pierced through the coin, cutting through the inscription. It pierces through at the U or M of DEUM.
