An incomplete copper alloy buckle, dating to c. 14th century. The buckle frame is almost circular in shape, with one edge straightened for the pin bar. this is slightly recessed in the centre. The pin is missing. On the opposite curved edge there is an oval shaped projection, which has two circular perforations. From the centre of the outer edge a rounded knop projects, with two diagonal grooves crossing it. This narrows on the outer edge to a rounded projection. The reverse of the buckle frame is undecorated. The buckle frame has a mid green patina, and measures 61.8mm in length, 47.…

An incomplete copper alloy medieval double loop buckle missing the pin, dating from 1350-1400. The loops are D shaped, and sub triangular in cross section. The inside edges are bevelled. On the outer frame of both loops are three grooves, running from the outside but stopping before the inner edge. The pin bar is sub triangular in cross section. The buckle has a green patina. The buckle measures 36.0mm in length, 32.7mm in width, and weighs 5.27g. This is similar to a buckle in Egan and Pritchard 1991, 83, 332.

A complete lead spindle whorl or weight, dating from the medieval to post medieval period, 1100-1800 AD. The weight is bi-conical in cross section, and rounded square in shape, with a sub-circular pierced hole through the centre. On the face of the weight is moulded decoration, at each corner there is a circular concave projection, with raised curved lines inbetween. The lower surface is flat. It measures 27.6mm in length, 26.7mm in width, 13.1mm in thickness, and weighs 48g.

A fragment of copper alloy medieval forker spacer from a composite buckle plate, dating from c. AD 1350-1400. The fragment consists of a small part of the frame, which ends in worn breaks. The two sides of the forked spacer extend out from this, with a rounded perforation in the centre for the pin. The forks are rectangular, then narrow to triangular shapes, before ending in a point. There is no decoration on the spacer, which has a dark grey patina, covered with a light brown green corrosion.It measures 25.4mm in length, 17.5mm in width and weighs 2.47g. A copper alloy fragment of a possible Roman brooch dating from the 1st century AD, possibly of Hod Hill type. The object is T shaped, with a rectangular section. This has a semi circular notch in the centre. This section is made up of two seperate copper alloy sheets. Projecting down from the centre of this is another rectangular section, on one side is moulded lines running down the section, it is very worn. The fragment has a mid green patina, and measures 30.3mm in length, 22.7mm in width, and weighs 6.66g. The fragment is similar to Hattatt 2000, page 322 figure 181.
