A complete Medieval cast copper alloy rotary key dating to c. AD 1150-1400. The key has a sub-circular bow with a circular central perforation. The bow measures 12.7 mm in diameter and thickens toward the shank. The shank measures 21.7 mm in length and 4.0 mm in thickness. It has a sub-rectangular section and tapers toward to a hollow recessed end. The bit measures 9.4 mm in length and 12.6 mm in width. It is very simple with two opposing notches on the upper and lower edge. The key has a dark green patina. The key is similar to Egan (1998:112) no. 294 but with more squared clefts.…

An incomplete Roman copper-alloy strip-bow brooch dating to c. AD 25 to 70. The head and bow are formed of a single continuous strip. Foot, catchplate and pin are now missing. The head is plan and measures 14.6 mm in width. It is formed by rolling the top of the bow backward to hold an axis bar. On one side the lower part of this rolled section around the bar is now missing to an old break, leaving uncovered part of the copper alloy axis bar still in situ.
