An incomplete lead alloy Whistle of Post-Medieval date (AD 1700-1900). The retained portions of the object is in two parts and comprises the butt end of the whistle and partial shaft. The body is circular in section and tapers in toward the missing mouth end. There are two visible casting seams along opposing sides of the body of the object. The upper end has a raised circular flan and an integral projecting circular knop with a circular perforation. The metal is a mid-grey in colour with a predominantly smooth patina. An incomplete copper-alloy Brooch of Roman date (AD 175-250). The object is a conical disc brooch of Hattatt's 'Tutulus' type, suggesting it is likely to be continental. The plate is circular in form. On the front face is a hollow central conical projection with three steps and a small central projection/knop. On each step the lip curves outwards.
