An incomplete lead alloy Cloth Seal of Early Post-Medieval date (AD 1575). One disc from this cloth seal survives and the reverse of the disk retains two flattened rivets. The front of the disk is stamped with the inscription: [?]DVYTSL/COLCHESTER//15BAY75, within a circular linear border, the lower portion of which is pelleted
Diameter: 42.36mm, Thickness: 1.77mm, Weight: 22.0g.
The metal is a dark brown in colour with a smooth patina. The object has been treated by the finder and was cream in colour when found.

An almost complete copper alloy Trumpet Brooch of Roman date (AD 75-175). The brooch is composed of an oval head plate. On the reverse of which is a single pierced lug that holds the coiled wire spring, pin and loop. The bow emanates from the front of the head plate; this is flanked on the head plate by two circular recessed cells, and two adjoining central triangular cells, which would have held stones or enamel. An incomplete copper-alloy Finger Ring of Roman date (AD 43-200). The object is composed of an oval hoop which is D-shaped in section and expands to wide shoulders and narrows toward the hoop. The object is broken at the lower portion of each shoulder with an old and abraded break. The retained shoulders and hoop are decorated with an incised pattern, which is symmetrical on each side of the intaglio. An incomplete lead Mount of Medieval date (AD 1200-1600). The mount is circular with a central cross decorated with a row of pellets and larger central pellet. The circular border has moulded triangular motifs project inwards at each angle of the cross. All decoration is in deep relief which might have been to accommodate some coloured material in imitation of enamel. The reverse of the mount has a broken integral rivet in the centre. There are portions of outer border and one of the inner cells which are missing due to old abraded breaks.
