An incomplete copper-alloy brooch made from an English copper-alloy jetton of 13th - 14th century date.
The jetton is similar on the reverse to Mitchiner 171, an English type datable to c.1280-1343. The obverse is obscured, but may be a shield of arms.
Soldered to the reverse is a strip of copper alloy sheet which would have formed and attachment hook.

An incomplete copper alloy penannular brooch of Type A4, dating to the Roman period (AD 50 - AD 200).
Only the brooch frame has survived and now is bent out of shape. The frame is circular sectioned, with flattened, grooved knobs and a single collar at each terminal. The metal is worn and mid green in colour. The frame is 66.1 mm long, 2.6 mm thick and weighs 4.0 g. The terminals are 5.2 mm in diameter.
