An incomplete and broken gilded copper-alloy cast saucer brooch of probable Anglo-Saxon attribution, dating to the Early Medieval period (c. AD 450-550). Only the centre of the brooch survives, its flanged obliquely-angled edges missing in old damage. The remaining portion of the object is broken in two by means of a somewhat neat old truncation. On its upper surface, the moulded design of a central ring-pellet motif is surrounded by six running spirals, all of the latter within two concentric outer circular borders.
