A fragment polished flint polished flint axehead of Neolithic date, c.4000-2200BC. Description: The fragment represents a middle section of the axehead. possibly forwards the wider blade end, but it is difficult to be certain. All original sides and faces are heavily polished though a number of original (pre-polishing?) or subsequent reworking flake scars are present along both edges. An incomplete cast Early-Medieval copper-alloy single loop ovoid buckle circa sixth century date. Description: The frame is roughly ovoid with a narrowed offset strap-bar. It is missing its pin. The hoop is D shape in section and the buckle without decoration. The frame is circular in cross-section. The buckle is an off grey colour with some mottled green patination. An incomplete late Medieval to Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle dating to the period 1350-1650 Description: The loops are oval and bevelled, the reverse is flat. Both loops and the strap-bar are complete and not worn. The pin for the buckle is entirely missing. The entire buckle is unpatinated mid mid/light brown and remains in good condition. A near complete cast copper-alloy Anglo-Scandinavian Stirrup Strap Mount belonging to Williams (1997) Class A, Type 1. Description: The mount is of flat and sub-pentagonal in plan, with all edges barring the base are curved giving it a bell-shaped appearance.
