An incomplete ceramic object, possibly a mount from a vessel, of uncertain though possible Roman date. The object is in the form of a forward facing human face. It is sub-ovate with a D-shaped section. The face has raised pellet eyes flanking a triangular nose with as downward turned recessed crescent mount. The figure wears a radiate style hat or headdress.
The object is 50.8mm long, 30.8mm wide, 13.7mm thick and weighs 22.5g.
