Adze or axe fragment, only the butt end is extant, broken recently by a transverse bending fracture, bifacially knapped to a sub-lenticular cross section by a hard hammer stone with an akward angle to one lateral edge, and one tiny patch of white cortex just above this. Patinated brown and orange, the fresh break is of mottled grey flint. Mesolithic.

Medieval to Post Medieval (c. 12th to mid-19th century) cooking vessel wall fragment which is broken, but not recently. The interior surface is corroded and has smooth patches. The exterior surface is rough with horizontal striations and with traces of black deposit which are presumably carbon deposits.
The fragment measures 29mm long and 24.47mm wide, 1.91mm thick and weighs 4.82g.
The fragment is probably a type of cooking vessel, but it is uncertain what type. Egan (1998) comments that commonly used cooking vessels in the Medieval period include skillets, ewers, and cauldron…

Medieval to Post Medieval (c. 12th to mid-19th century) cooking vessel rim fragment which is broken: The rim, in profile, is a slender asymmetrical oval and curls outwards. The only original edge of the fragment is the rim, the other edges of the fragment are all broken, but not recently.
The interior surface is smooth, the rim is shiny and it has a dark grey colour, with the external surface being slightly rough with horizontal striations and with traces of black deposit which are presumably carbon deposits.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy armorial harness pendant dating to the medieval period, c. 1200-1400. It is shield-shaped, with a broken suspension loop projecting from its apex. The rear of the object is plain, while its front face retains the remains of applied red enamel. The blazon is largely illegible but probably the arms of England; Gules, three lions passant regardant Or. A complete lead-alloy token of Medieval to Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1300-1700. The token is uni-faced and circular in plan and rectangular in section. The upper face is decorated with a simple, raised cross within a raised border. This decoration fits into Powell's type 14 (crosses). The border is worn away along part of the edge. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The metal is grey-ish cream in colour and worn. The token is 19.8mm in diameter, 4.4mm thick and weighs 8.2g.

A worn cast lead alloy token or tally of post-medieval date. The token bears the faint remains of a raised design of a grid pattern on one side and an abstract pattern on the other. Lead tokens had a wide variety of potential uses such as use as tallies, gaming pieces, weights, etc. and are believed to have been locally produced; they are therefore difficult to date precisely. Those carrying initials are generally deemed to be Post Medieval in date (c. AD 1500 - 1850), although this example is likely to be 17th century in date.

An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval mount with integral loop, dating to AD 1200-1450. It consists of an oval plate, which has a oval cross-sectioned extension at the centre of one of the long edge. The plate bears two incomplete iron rivet still in situ; the rivets are set close to the short sides, along the longitudinal median axis. The extension bends forward and successively upward creating an oval loop. The mount is heavily abraded and shows stains of iron corrosion products. The edges of the plate are heavily damaged.

Medieval or Post Medieval (12th to mid 19th centuries) cooking vessel leg: In plan the leg is an elongated trapezoid with the narrow edge has curved corners, forming the foot. The upper terminal has obliquely angled face in profile with broken edges, and the actual surface is smooth and slightly concave, forming the interior surface of the vessel. In section the leg is sub semi-circular. The exterior face has a three vertical ridges. The surface has a mottled mid to dark grey-green patina with patches of a carbon build up. The interior surface is a shiny dark green-grey colour.

Rim and body sherd of medieval green-glaze vessel, dating to c. 1200 - 1400 AD. The sherd has a moulded frilled rim and is probably from a cup or bowl. The fabric is light beige in colour throughout and hard, with profuse, very small well-sorted quartz inclusions and traces of dark-green glaze on the exterior surface. Base sherd of wheel-thrown medieval pottery with glaze, probably reduced greenware, dating to the period c. 1250 - 1400 AD. The sherd is flat with the slight curve of the body at the edge and an everted base. Very hard dark grey exterior fabric with a light brown core. Sparse, angular poorly-sorted voids (possibly from limestone inclusions) and green glaze on one side of the sherd, on the inner surface of the vessel.
