Silver coin. Siliqua of an indeterminate later Roman ruler, probably of the House of Valentinian (364-378), clipped with loss of all legends. Style of bust might point to Trier mint, an Urbs Roma issue of 368-378. The finder suggests this may be clipped to conform with the weight of the sceatta coinage found in abundance in the vicinity.
Obverse description: Bust diademed draped and cuirassed right, Large heavenwards eye with slit pupil.
Reverse description: Roma seated left holding globe and vertical sceptre.
Reverse inscription: [VRBS ROMA]
