Copper-alloy Roman brooch of the Colchester derivative 'two-piece' type, dating to the period c. AD 40 - 70. The brooch is almost complete, though is missing the catchplate and pin. The bow is ridged and features a central spine which heightens toward the head where two parallel ridges also appear at either side.. There is a 'V' shaped notch in the spine at the crest of the bow head which separates the bow portion from the double pierced lug. A complete copper-alloy one-piece brooch of 'Nauheim derivative' La Tene III type dating from the late Iron Age to early Roman period (c. AD 10 - 60). Most of the brooch is made from a single piece of copper-alloy. The head comprises a spring mechanism consisting of four coils and a seperate internal circular-sectioned copper-alloy axis bar. From the spring the bow of the brooch extends downwards and arches slightly before extending to form a flattened catchplate. A copper alloy fragment, 20.7mm in length, possibly from an early medieval brooch. The fragment appears to comprise part of a lobe, wing or arm, with moulded decoration in the form of a double frame containing a motif, now illegible and a corner of a second framed decorative area on the bent portion. The reverse is undecorated and has no evidence of fixtures. One side is bent up with an ancient break.

An incomplete late Iron Age to early Roman rosette type brooch probably dating to the time of the invasion. AD20 to AD80. The head of the brooch is sub-rectangular in plan and cylindrical in section. This contains the spring which still survives. Part of the spring is exposed probably due to corrosion the rest is encased within the head. An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman trumpet brooch dating from about AD 75 - 175. The brooch has a small trumpet shaped head hiding a looped pin lug to hold the spring and pin which are now missing. There is a small rounded projection from the top of the head. The bow of the brooch is faceted and in the centre of the bow of the brooch has a worn acanthus-style mouding with a swollen central section, collar above and bilobed moulded leaves below.
