Iron Age copper alloy brooch, La Tene type 3, 37.1mm in length. The bow is undecorated and the pin and catchplate are lost. Compares favourably to Hattatt (2000), p290, number243.

An incomplete late Iron Age to early Roman rosette type brooch probably dating to the time of the invasion. AD20 to AD80.
The head of the brooch is sub-rectangular in plan and cylindrical in section. This contains the spring which still survives. Part of the spring is exposed probably due to corrosion the rest is encased within the head. There are three incised lines running the length of the head at the top. Below this is a decoration in the form of a cross at forty five degrees made up of several incised lines.
