Three heavily abraded body sherds and one base sherd of Roman greyware vessels. The base sherd is a small fragment from a narrow based vessel with sides that are expanding outwards at around 75 degrees to the base, probably a jar. The micaceous fabric varies from pale to mid-grey with a silty texture, abundent fine sand temper and occasional (5-10%) rounded inclusion up to 1mm, probably limestone or other grey stone. 22g in total weight.

Copper alloy Post Medieval decorative hinge from either a box or possibly a book fitting. The object is sub-rectangular in cross-section. One end terminates with a fleur-de-lis which contains a small hole. Below this is an inverted heart-shaped void at the base of which are two more rivet holes. A fragment of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of Roman date, c.AD250-410. The fragment is a rim sherd from a Huntcliff calcite-gritted ware vessel. The fabric is dark brownish-black in colour with a pitted outer surface. Some calcite inclusions are present which are heterogeneous in size and visible where the rim has broken away from the body of the vessel. The fragment indicates that the vessel had an everted rim and bears a groove along the inside of the lip, either as a decorative feature or marking the place where a lid would rest. An incomplete late-medieval to early post-medieval purse frame (c. 1450 - c. 1600). It fits into Williams Type 1A (2018, p. 2, fig. 3). The frame is L-shaped in cross-section with one clear circular sewing hole close to one terminal. The frame is decorated with double incised lines forming a zig-zag pattern on one of the outer edges. The frame has a slight curve to it but appears broken at both terminals. It has a dark green patina. Length 60.37mm, width 7.75mm, thickness 4.65mm and weight 8.62g.
