Three heavily abraded body sherds and one base sherd of Roman greyware vessels. The base sherd is a small fragment from a narrow based vessel with sides that are expanding outwards at around 75 degrees to the base, probably a jar.
The micaceous fabric varies from pale to mid-grey with a silty texture, abundent fine sand temper and occasional (5-10%) rounded inclusion up to 1mm, probably limestone or other grey stone.
22g in total weight.

One end terminates with a fleur-de-lis which contains a small hole. Below this is an inverted heart-shaped void at the base of which are two more rivet holes. A fragment of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of Roman date, c.AD250-410. The fragment is a rim sherd from a Huntcliff calcite-gritted ware vessel. The fabric is dark brownish-black in colour with a pitted outer surface. Some calcite inclusions are present which are heterogeneous in size and visible where the rim has broken away from the body of the vessel. The fragment indicates that the vessel had an everted rim and bears a groove along the inside of the lip, either as a decorative feature or marking the place where a lid would rest.

An incomplete late-medieval to early post-medieval purse frame (c. 1450 - c. 1600). It fits into Williams Type 1A (2018, p. 2, fig. 3). The frame is L-shaped in cross-section with one clear circular sewing hole close to one terminal. The frame is decorated with double incised lines forming a zig-zag pattern on one of the outer edges. A complete silver ingot possibly of Early-Medieval date, c.AD 850 - 1000. The ingot is sub-rectangular in plan and square in section with rounded ends and bevelled edges. Extensive hammer marks cover all surfaces, suggesting that the ingot has been carefully shaped after casting, and both fine and coarse abrasions are visible on all surfaces. There are nicks, possibly testing nicks to determine the metal purity, on three edges.

An incomplete and broken lead alloy toy gun (1600 - 1700). The toy is probably modelled on the petronel pistol that was popular in the 17th century (Forsyth & Egan, 2005: 97). The toy consists of a cylindrical barrel, powder pan and hollow decorated butt, the trigger of the gun appears to be missing. The butt is decorated on one side with diagonal ridges with three pellets between each ridge and a raised border containing the pattern. The toy has a beige patina. This is a portion of the object with a transverse break at one end. The front of the loop is convex and the underside is bevelled internally. A complete copper alloy medieval seal matrix, dating to the 14th century.
Description: The matrix is conical in shape with a hexagonal die tapering to a handle with a pierced suspension loop. Dividing he handle and suspension loop is a collar formed of two incised lines. The die face is circular and features the engraved design of a stag's head with a cross between its antlers, surrounded by an inner circle and an inscription that is worn and so difficult to read. A post medieval copper alloy umbonate harness mount. The mount is circular with a hollow backed central boss within a multifoil (sixteen foils) outer flange. The reverse of the mount shows the remains of three rivets in the outer foils. The mount appears to have no further decoration and is coated in a patchy light green patina. Diameter 31.27mm, thickness 13.61mm and weight 11.30g.

Standing robed figure of a pilgrim in a broad-brimmed hat, his right hand at his waist holding prayer beads (or paternosters) and his left hand holding a knopped staff. 14th century.
