Description:
A complete silver wire ring, circular in cross-section and with a uniform thickness. It is formed from a single strand of silver wire, the ends crossed and wrapped twice around the hoop. The terminals of the wire are worn and the ring is undecorated.
Discussion:

Copper alloy, signet ring, D-sectioned band, internal diameter 19mm, external diameter 23.5mm, weighs 5.53g. Oval bezel, 16 x 15mm. Standing robed figure of a pilgrim in a broad-brimmed hat, his right hand at his waist holding prayer beads (or paternosters) and his left hand holding a knopped staff. 14th century.
