An incomplete copper-alloy Roman brooch of the Headstud Type, dating to c. AD 75-250. The head has a sub-cylindrical shape and it houses the copper-alloy axis bar. On the back of the head there is a slot for the missing hinged pin. The front of the wings are decorated with a series of central longitudinal lozengiform cells flanked by triangles;although all the cells had enamel only the lozenges retain traces of blue inlaid. A cast copper alloy, single loop buckle of Medieval date, about AD 1300 - 1400. It has a thick outer edge, curving inwards at the sides to a narrowed and offset strap bar. In the centre of the outer edge is a broad collar with a U shaped notch for the pin. A flat, copper alloy pin, probably made of thick sheet metal, the point of which has broken away, remains in place, the end looped round the bar. An uniface, post-medieval lead-alloy token dating to c AD 1500-1700 (Powell type 12). The token is broadly circular but has damage to most of its circumference. The decorated side has a cross extending to the edges of the token and a crude, irregular chevron consisting of three radiating lines in each quarter. The reverse is fairly smooth and was probably plain. The patina is mostly beige with greyer areas at some of the sites of most damage. A complete but broken medieval box mount, dating from AD 1200-1400, in two pieces. The mount consists of a piece of copper alloy, the main body of which is rectangular in shape. It consists of a loop like an elongated U that extends approximately 7mm across the disc slightly off-centre, of which each of the two ends turns backwards to the outside of the loop and terminates in a pellet about half way up the side of the U. A complete post-Medieval copper-alloy circular uniface coin weight for a half angel (c. 1604-c. 1619). The obverse depicts St. Michael spearing a dragon (spear to the right). St. Michael's legs are not clear. The reverse is flat and undecorated. Diameter: 12.2mm; thickness: 2.5mm. Weight: 2.19g. (33.8 grains). Due to wear and corrosion it falls below the standard weight of 35.5 grains (Withers and Withers 1995: 21 and 68).
