A clipped and worn medieval Irish penny in the name of Edward IV (1461-1483), possibly contemporary copy of a coin combining the obverse of a coin minted at Waterford of the sun and Roses/rose on cross coinage c.1478-1483 (Burns type 38) and a reverse naming Cork although of a type not known to be issued at Cork. A complete lead alloy biconical decorated spindle whorl of probable Medieval date (AD 1200 to AD 1450). Description: The spindle whorl is sub-circular in plan and lentoid in section. Both the upper and lower faces have been decorated an inscription cast in relief. Each of the spindle whorl's faces are divided into four quarters by raised pairs of lines. An early post-Medieval (AD 1500 -1600) copper alloy dress hook. Description: It is one-piece cast moulded -relief and openwork, with a rectangular tag attachment at the top of the plate, this is complete but twisted. The integral curved hook extends down terminating with a sharp point. The rear surface is flat and undecorated. Has an irregular segemented design of eight segments and with pellets in each angle, but rather haphazardly placed. The token is roughly flat and is an off cream colour.
