An early post medieval copper alloy dress hook of Read's Class E Type 3, dating from 1500-1600. The object is sub circular, with moulded relief and openwork, with a rectangular loop attachment at the top of the plate. The central part of the plate is lozenge shaped, and seems to have a pinecone or pineapple motif in the centre. There are four circular perforations on both sides, two large two small. At the base there is a narrow transverse collar, below which the integral curved hook extends down. This is broken before the hook, and is worn. The dress hook measures 29.5mm in length, 1…

A complete copper alloy late medieval thimble, of beehive or heavy duty type, dating from 1400- 1550. The thimble is circular in shape, and has a domed top. Around the base of the thimble is an irregular incised border. Above this a the body of the thimble is decorated with irregular punched indentations.The inside of the thimble is undecorated. The thimble has a mid green patina. It measures 19.5mm in height, 17.6mm in diameter, and weighs 4.99g. A similar thimble can be seen in Holmes, 1988, page1 fig.2 a.

A complete late medieval copper alloy open thimble or sewing ring, dating to c. AD 1450-1500. The outside of the thimble has four horizontal lines of rectangular indentations or drilled pits, these almost line up vertically but are irregularly placed. A complete medieval copper alloy annular buckle, dating to 1350-1400 AD. The brooch consists of a circular frame which is 4.8mm in width, and is circular in cross section. There is a worn part in hoop possibly from the pin. The pin is a piece of copper alloy looped round the pin recess in the frame, and narrows to a worn edge, it is possible the point is missing. An incomplete copper alloy post medieval double loop asymmetrical buckle dating from c.1575-1700, missing the pin. One loop is rectangular shaped, and the other is D shaped. The inside and outside edges are bevelled. On the outer frame of the D shaped loop on the inside is a rounded triangular projection. The buckle has a narrow pin bar with orange staining. The buckle is a red brown colour, and measures 40.1mm in length, 27.5mm in width and weighs 8.18g. The buckle is similar to Whitehead 1996, 90, 562.

An incomplete medieval copper alloy double loop oval buckle frame, missing the pin, dating to c. AD 1350-1400. The buckle is d shaped in cross section with bevelled inside edges. The pin bar is sub triangular in cross section, and has iron staining at one end suggesting the pin was made of iron. The buckle has a mid green patina.
