Copper alloy cast champleve enamelled object probably a Roman buckle plate. The object has a rectangular body with an old transverse break at one end with a sub-triangular D-section broken projection, extending from the other. The break at the end of the projection curves inwards towards its centre suggesting it may have fractured across a hole at this point, however this cannot be confirmed.
