An incomplete copper-alloy Medieval book clasp with integral forked spacer, dating to the period AD 1300-1450. It consists of a tapering integral forked spacer ending with a pierced oval plano-convex element. The latter has a pierced terminal set at right angle; the terminal is incomplete and is probably moulded in a form of a stylised animal head. Both faces of the forked spacer bear traces of soldering.
