An incomplete cast white metal coated copper-alloy medieval single loop buckle with integral, forked spacers dating to c.1350-1450. Description: The frame is missing its composite buckle plate and its attachment spacer remain only as small lugs behind the frame. The buckle frame is a narrow oval, lipped on the outside edge for the now missing pin to rest in. A cast incomplete copper-alloy one piece eye section of a toggle clasp, c.16th-17th century (Read 2008, 209) Description: The eye consists of a rectangular framed opening, with integral ring or suspension loop with a raised ridging dividing it from a now missing plate with a raised ridge. The head of a heavily worn copper-alloy hafted object, probably a hammer or mattock head of uncertain date (see discussion). Description: The object is roughly rectangular in plan narrow towards one end.
