Body fragment from Roman vessel (c. 43 - 410 AD), probably black burnished ware. The fragment is from the body of the vessel, with a small bit of rim along one edge. The broken edges are heavily abraded. The sherd is the same colour throughout, being a very dark grey, verging on black. The fabric is hard, with no inclusions. The surface of the fragment is very scratched and slightly cracked. The fragment is 51.03mm in length, 35.07mm in width and 5.20mm in thickness. It weighs 33g.

Copper-alloy fragment from a vessel of uncertain date. The fragment is broadly rectangular and slightly curved. The top, unbroken inner edge is bevelled. The inner face is smooth with horizontal grooves running across it, probably as a result of being spun during manufacture. The outer face is rougher and scratched; no horizontal grooves are visible. The fragment has a dark green patina. It is 54.51mm in length, 32.74mm in width and 3.13mm in thickness. It weighs 29.12g.

Lead ball, possibly shot, dating to the post-medieval period (c. 1600 - 1800 AD). The object is largely spherical but is slightly misshapen. A rectangular flap at one end has separated slightly from the body of the object, possibly as a result of impact. A thin lead strip runs around the circumference of the ball. Large lead steelyard weight of probable Roman date (c. 43 - 410 AD). The weight is biconical and irregular in shape. There is a hollow section at the top of the weight where an iron hook originally would have extended; this is now missing. The object has a rough, cream-coloured patina. It is 38.46mm in length and 34.69mm in width. It weighs 202g. A now bent incomplete medieval or post-medieval (1200-1700) copper alloy buckle plate, consisting of the upper plate and the arms only. It is rectangular in shape, 18.6mm wide and 0.7mm thick, and unbent c.51mm in length (inclusive of projecting arms). There is an in situ rivet at each corner, c.4mm in length with a squarish cross-section c.2.5x2.5mm. The two arms project from the short end, 5.5mm wide and broken as they curl around into the backplate. A brown concretion covers much of a smooth, mid-green coloured surface. The object weighs 5.18g and measures 29.1mm in bent length.

A medieval (1200-1400) copper-alloy bar mount from a strap, with central and terminal lobes and two in situ separate rivets. Both central lobe (8.1x2.5mm) and the two terminal lobes (c.4.5x1.4mm) are D-shaped in cross-section, being flat to the reverse. The central lobe has a very slightly hollowing to the reverse. A Medieval nummular brooch (coin-brooch), badge or hooked tag made from a voided long cross penny and dating from AD 1250 - 1350. The brooch displays the side of the coin with the cross on it, which has been gilded. The remains of a strip of silver forming a pin survives soldered onto the obverse of the coin. The brooch is 18.2mm in diameter, 1.3mm thick including the strip, and 1.4g. The coin is a Medieval voided long cross penny of Henry III (AD 1216 - 1272), Class 5b-c dating from AD 1250 - 1256. A fragment of a Roman (AD 43-410) copper alloy penannular bracelet or armelt (probably), consisting of a curved section with a worn break at one end. The complete end is presumably one of the two original abutting terminals. The object has an oval cross-section and measures 6.2x4.3mm at the wider, intact end, narrowing to 4.7x3.7mm at the worn break (opposite end). The patina is smooth, shiny and green in colour, with some light pitting and apparent working / hammer blows to the inside (concave) surface. It is undecorated. The object measures 39.2mm in length and weighs 6.40g.
