A leaden token dating from the medieval period, about AD 1200 - 1500. It is circular and both sides carry a moulded design in a shallow cartouche. On one side is a female bust facing right, on the other side is a flower with four petals. The token has a light grey patina. It is 28mm in diameter and 5.5mm thick. It weighs 23.12gm. Tokens of similar design, though mostly uniface, are recorded on the database: see for example records HAMP-CD2267, SWYOR-EBF168 and SUR-7E72F8.

A copper alloy Post Medieval trade token dating from AD 1600 - 1700. There is a shield bearing three charges and an upwards pointing chevron on one face, but sadly the details are illegible. The token is 15.4mm diameter, 0.8mm thick and 0.5g.

A copper-alloy token probably from the Post-Medieval period (c.AD1600-1800). The obverse has two incised equilateral triangles which overlap creating a smaller triangle in the centre of the token, the sides of which extend to the edge of the token. Behind this, there are faint marks of a larger triangle, pointing in the opposite direction. A copper-alloy River Wear Commissioners ferry token from the Modern period, c. AD 1900. The token is complete except for a small portion missing on the edge. It is circular with a sub-circular perforation. The obverse reads: 'RIVER WEAR' 'COMMISSIONERS' around the outside with the perforation in between 'River' and 'Wear'. It has been stamped with 'No. 9083' in the centre. The reverse has been stamped with 'T 163'. It appears that the 'T' was stamped over a smaller 'T' .
