A rectangular flap at one end has separated slightly from the body of the object, possibly as a result of impact. A thin lead strip runs around the circumference of the ball. A leaden token dating from the medieval period, about AD 1200 - 1500. It is circular and both sides carry a moulded design in a shallow cartouche. On one side is a female bust facing right, on the other side is a flower with four petals. The token has a light grey patina. It is 28mm in diameter and 5.5mm thick. It weighs 23.12gm. Tokens of similar design, though mostly uniface, are recorded on the database: see for example records HAMP-CD2267, SWYOR-EBF168 and SUR-7E72F8.

A lead nail, probably of Post Medieval date, about AD 1600 - 1800, It has a flat, circular head and a shaft which is of circular section in the upper part and becomes rectangular as it tapers towards the point, which has broken away and is missing. The nail is bent in two places and, in its current format, the shaft is 43.8mm long and 4.3mm thick. The head is 13.2mm in diameter. It weighs 10.7gm. A lead artefact which resembles a stylus. As a stylus has a flared end for erasing writing in wax but this is probably an incomplete lead pencil of Medieval or Post Medieval date, about AD 1200 - 1800. It consists of a short length of lead, circular in cross-section, which tapers to a blunt point at one end and has a ragged fracture at the other end where a portion has broken away and is missing. The button has a low hemispherical profile, the face of which is decorated with eight small annulars that are evenly spaced around the outside edge, with a ninth annular positioned in the centre. The shield has cross hatching at the pointed base, a horizontal stripe of diagonal raised lines above that, another stripe but with possible crosses on it above that, and a fourth stripe at the top with an unclear design.
