A silver plated contemporary copy of a Roman coin, possibly of a Republican/Augustan denarius (Reece Period 1) of prototypes dating to 130 BC and 19-4 BC. The obverse depicts the head of Roma. Possibly a CAESAR AVGVSTVS reverse type depicting a quadriga right. Uncertain mint. Possibly a hybrid combining a Republican obverse and a reverse proper to Augustus similar to another coin recorded on the Portable Antiquities Scheme database (GLO-681E59).
