A copper alloy nummus of the Roman period from the reign of Constantine I, AD 306-337, Reece period 16. Obverse description: Laureate,cuirassed bust right. Obverse inscription: CONSTANTINVS AVG. Reverse description: Large globe on an altar inscribed VO-TIS-XX in three lines, three stars above,C R across both fields. Mintmark PLG for Lyons. The coin is in a good condition witha little wear on all surfaces. There is evidence of rusting on both faces suggesting it was buried in close proximity to an iron object. Thickness 2.17mm,weight 3.8g,diameter 18.97mm. RIC VII, no.129.

Reject blade from the production of gunflints, an elongated, tertiary iron hammer struck blade of unpatinated matt black with lighter grey streaks, the platform is partially crushed though both sides of the hertzian cone survive and are standing proud, no iron mark is noted from the hammer. The blade has four previous flake scars to the dorsal face and is rather broad for further processing into individual gunflints, and it is also of the wrong section, leading to its rejection. A medieval (1350-1400) copper alloy buckle frame of Egan's 'rectangular Meols Type C' with sheet copper alloy plate, incomplete in so far as it is missing its pin. The frame has concave sides with a ridge near each corner and a wide outside edge with three transverse grooves at the centre and a bevelled underside. The bar is offset and narrowed for the plate (and missing pin). The sheet plate (0.4mm thick) curves around the bar and is narrowed at the outer corners for rotational purposes. An incomplete copper alloy medieval bar mount dating to c. AD 1350-1400. The mount has an oval irregular shaped body that is hemispherical in cross section, with a rectangular projection at both narrow ends. Across the centre of the body are two transverse lines of moulded rectangles, these are very irregular. The reverse is concave, and has two circular perforations on each of the rectangular projections where the seperate rivets would have attached, the perforations are off centre. An incomplete medieval copper alloy single loop buckle, dating from c. AD 1350-1400. The frame is D shaped, and is sub triangular in cross section. The pin bar is slightly offset, and narrower, and is circular in cross section. The pin is now missing. There is no decoration. The buckle has a light green patina, and measures 19.8mm in length, 13.7mm in width, and weighs 0.93g. A similar buckle can be seen in Egan and Pritchard 1991, page 89, number 390.

An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy double looped oval shaped buckle, missing the pin. In the centre of the outer edges of each loop is a triangular projection, this is decorated with a moulded flower. The frame of the buckle is semi circular in cross section and has a bevelled inner edge. The pin bar is sub-triangular in cross section, and has a knop at each end of the bar. Five body sherds of a medieval sandy ware with numerous small to medium flint and/or chalk inclusions. Lorraine Mepham (Wessex Archaeology) comments '[they] are probably something in the Kennet Valley tradition. Date range probably somewhere between the 11th and 13th century'. The sherds collectively weigh 52.11g. The largest measures 59.3x50.2x9.5mm and the smallest 18.0x15.2x6.8mm. All are a darkish brown in colour with orange oxidation patches.

A fragment of a large and ornate copper alloy buckle frame, late 12th -14th century. The fragment consists of the decorated outside edge and moulded pin rest. The moulding comprises a straight edge section incorporating three constrictions and four wider lobes. The central constriction forms a pin with two flanking lobes, each divided with a line. Possibly a fragment of a double rectangular buckle, as Whitehead (2016) no. 477.
