A Medieval to Post-Medieval copper alloy double looped buckle, probably dating to c. AD 1350-1650. The frame comprises of two symmetrical oval loops, separated by a central bar. The bar is sub-rectangular in cross section and both loops are sub-oval. Traces of iron corrosion, probably from a lost iron pin, are present on the bar. The frame appears undecorated. An incomplete copper alloy Hod Hill brooch of Roman dating, circa AD 43 - 75. The brooch is missing its lower body including part of the catchplate, the pin and axis bar, and the hinge at the head is damaged. The hinge is formed of a rolled hinge,below which is a stepped collar, forming a ninety degree angle from which the body of the brooch projects. An incomplete copper alloy handle from a patera or skillet dating to the Roman period (c. AD 43-80). The handle has a flat ended, fan-shaped terminal with a trefoil-shaped suspension hole. The handle narrows as it extends towards the rim and then widens as it reaches the rim, at which point it plunges below into the body of the vessel. Reject blade from the production of gunflints, an elongated, iron hammer struck blade of unpatinated black flint with a light grey inclusion extending from the middle of the blade and running off the edge towards the distal end. A large fragment of ceramic tile dating to the Roman period, c. AD 43 - 410. The fragment is from a box flue, part of a hypercaust. One surface has combed keying for mortar; the pattern shows a seven-toothed comb 37 mm wide has been dragged in two parallel lines 56 mm apart, with a zig-zag created by the same comb between them. Some small fragments of mortar remain in the grooves. The surface curves sharply down at one edge to form a side wall 27.5 mm thick and projecting 23 mm from the tile. A late Early Medieval to early Medieval copper alloy stirrup terminal, probably dating to c. AD 1000-1100. The object is now highly abraded, but is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-triangular in cross section, tapering into a sub-circular sectioned debased urnes-style crested animal head which curls around to meet the main body of the terminal and form a circular aperture. An incomplete copper alloy Late Iron Age/ Early Roman simple one-piece or Nauheim derivative type brooch dating to circa AD 25 - 100. The pin is missing along with half of one of the curls of the spring. The catchplate is complete but the roll has been flattened. The head consists of four spring coils which form the head of the brooch. In profile the bow is broadly flat, the lower part of the bow and catchplate having been bent back.
