Reject blade from the production of gunflints, an elongated, tertiary iron hammer struck blade of unpatinated matt black with lighter grey streaks, the platform is partially crushed though both sides of the hertzian cone survive and are standing proud, no iron mark is noted from the hammer. The blade has four previous flake scars to the dorsal face and is rather broad for further processing into individual gunflints, and it is also of the wrong section, leading to its rejection. Reject blade from the production of gunflints, an elongated, iron hammer struck blade of unpatinated black flint with a light grey inclusion extending from the middle of the blade and running off the edge towards the distal end. Platform is flat and untrimmed, and bares no iron mark from the hammer, the distal end is trapezoidal sectioned, these dorsal ridges join at the centre of the blade to form a triangular section from this point to the distal end, a "single backed" blade (Skertchly, Sydney B.
