An incomplete cast copper-alloy toilet article, possibly a nail cleaner or pick dating to the Roman period. The object has a roughly leaf-shaped plate with rounded shoulders which is rectangular in cross-section, the upper section of which is bent at roughly 30 degrees. This leads to a narrowed neck which is rectangular in both plan and cross-section and is broken near what would have been the terminal. An incomplete Roman copper alloy amphora- or balsamarium-shaped miniature object, apparently incomplete and with damage to one edge. The miniature vessel-shaped object is solid with an oval body terminating in a point at one end and extending into the neck and mouth at the other end. The mount is in the form of a flower possibly a rose consisting of five petals with small sub oval tabs projecting from between each petal. In the centre of the mount, a hemispherical central boss is surrounded by five raised semi-circular petals, in-between each of which is a slightly curved tab. Fragment of a medieval copper-alloy mount, circular (diameter c.50mm, 0.7mm thick), now bent and broken, less than a third survives. Hollowed on reverse with angled outer flange (depth of object, from face to rear edge of flange, 3.5mm). The face has the remains of engraved decoration comprising three leaves (perhaps originally the base from which a flower sprung) reserved on a field on rocker-arm within a bordering line. This mount was probably originally attached to either portable furniture, such as a casket, or to horse harness. 14th-15th century.

An incomplete copper alloy strap end with zoomorphic decoration. A Thomas Class B, type 4 tapering strap end with multiple zoomorphic heads. The sides of the strap end taper to the broken terminal.
