A decorated lead spindle whorl, probably medieval (c.AD 1100-1500). It is biconical in shape with a central perforation of 7.9mm in diameter. Both faces are decorated with short raised lines radiating out from the centre. One face has the lines evenly spaced, the other the lines appear slightly twisted. Diameter 31.2mm, thickness 9.3mm, weight 39.4g.

A fragment of a copper alloy Roman bow brooch, dating from the 1st to the 3rd century AD. The fragment consists of the foot and catch plate, and a small part of the bow which ends in a worn break. The bow is D shaped in cross section, with the flat edge on the inside with the catch plate projecting. The catch plate is sub triangular in shape, and has two circular perforations in the centre. Roman (1st to 2nd century) Trumpet brooch: The copper alloy brooch fragment has an incomplete head that has no wings and in plan is sub-oval which is undecorated. On the reverse of the bow head there is an incomplete perforated lug. The lug would have supported a hinged pin which is missing. The bow leads from the centre of the head and is sub-oval in section and is undecorated. The brooch has an abraded surface with traces of a mid brown/green coloured patina. An incomplete copper-alloy pin dating to the Early-Medieval period (c. AD 700-850). The pin consists of a flat seven-sided polyhedral head with decoration consisting of four ring-and-dot punchmarks on the upper and reverse surfaces and one worn ring-and-dot punchmark on the two vertical faces either side. The head of the pin extends to a thin collar and following this a plain circular cross-sectioned shaft which is broken at the end. The pin measures 23.5mm in length. A suspension loop from a cast copper-alloy purse frame, dating from the late medieval / post-medieval period (c. AD 1450-1550). The loop is oval with a sub-rectangular cross section. Roman copper alloy trumpet brooch fragment, 35mm long, 34mm wide and 8mm thick with a weight of 4.86grams. The object consists of the upper part of the brooch. It has an oval headplate with a double semi-circular lug attachment on its reverse and an incomplete attachment loop. From the front of the headplate emerges an oval cross sectioned curved bow which is decorated with three transverse ridges just before the break.
