Pennanular brooch of probable Late Iron Age to Middle Saxon date (c. AD 1 - 700). Circular-sectioned frame, now slightly bent out of shape, tapering at either end into a downward curled terminal. Each terminal consists of a loose single coil, one of which appears to have been partially uncoiled. The pin is missing.
Fowler Type C.
Booth (2015, 147) notes that Type C brooches with single loose coils occur in contexts dating between the 1st and 7th centuries AD, but that they appear to be most common in the 1st - 2nd century.

Obverse shows a worn circle of small closely set pellets surrounding a totally worn centre field. However, this would have originally shown a bridge of four arches. Obverse legend reads [I]OHN.PRATT.O[F]. On the outside edge there is evidence of a worn border of close set pellets.

A Medieval copper alloy strap fitting, probably dating to c. AD 1200-1500. The fittign consists of an undecorated bar, plano convex in cross section and with two integral rivets projecting from the reverse. A rearward facing hook, with unelaborated sub-rectangular terminal projects longitudinally from the base of the bar.
Dimensions: length 35.5mm; width 7.5mm; thickness 7.1mm; weight 6.29g.
Cf. a similar example published by Egan & Pritchard (1991: 155-6, no. 728), excavated in a 13th-14th century context.

An incomplete gold biconical bead of probable early medieval date. The bead comprises a single length of plain wire coiled into about 10 turns to form the body of the bead. The wire has a raised central rib creating a distinct stepped profile to the bead on the outside and is flattened on the inside. The lower end, which would have formed the centre of the bead, terminates in a rough break. The wire at the complete upper end is neatly tapered and smoothed down. The gold is noticeably pale in colour.

A fragment of a copper alloy Blade, Dagger or Rapier, of Mid to Late Bronze Age date (1600-800 BC). The object is rectangular in plan and a pointed oval in cross section. It is incomplete on all sides but has a visible bevel along the left and right hand edges away from the mid-rib. The upper end has been broken transversely resulting in the loss of the butt end. The lower end tapers to a rounded point. There are some breaks and abrasion to both left and right hand edges.

Early Medieval hooked tag: An incomplete copper alloy hooked tag which originally had a triangular plate but the lower tip with the integral hook is missing. The upper edge has a tri-lobed edge, although one lobe is missing. Each lobe has a circular perforation for fastening. The decoration on the outer face has a double stranded lower-relief linear border. The upper edge at the lobes with a closed zig-zag design. The body of the tag is decorated with two scrolls, one in each upper corner with a voided pointed oval below. The reverse is undecorated. One upper corner is bent slightly.
