A complete Roman silver finger-ring, of Henig Type II dating to c.AD 125-175, set with an engraved gemstone bezel (intaglio), which is very slightly raised.

Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
An incomplete copper-alloy finger ring of Roman date (AD 43-200). The object is composed of an oval hoop which is D-shaped in section and expands to wide shoulders and narrows towards the hoop. The ring hoop is broken with an old and abraded break where the band tapered to a narrow point. There is an ovate cell in the centre of the retained portion which would have formed the bezel and would have held an intaglio.
