Medieval enamelled copper alloy horse harness pendant, shield-shaped with suspension-loop filled with corrosion. Height/length 81.5mm. Width 25.5mm. Worn and corroded, surface treatment of metal (gilding/tinning) missing, remains of blue and red enamel. Blazon: Azure a chief checky [?Or /?Argent] and Gules a bend [?Or /?Argent]. The arms may be a variant on those for HAUSTEDE (DBA, Chesshyre and Woodcock 1992, 26). 13th-14th century.

Copper-alloy Roman disc brooch with enamel, dating to c. 80 - 250 AD. The brooch is flat and circular, with a small triangular catchplate protruding from the back and two broken lugs on the opposite edge that represent the remains of the original spring mechanism. The pin is missing. The front of the brooch is decorated with a raised rim around the outer edge and six raised ring and dot motifs arranged symmetrically around a central, larger ring. A fragment of a medieval copper alloy vessel handle from a tripod cauldron. The handle is cylindrical with an angled break at the end which indicates that this is part of an angled lug from the top of a cauldron. At the opposite end is a fragment of the vessel rim and body. The rim is pointed with an internal bead and the internal surface is very smooth. The surface of the handle is rough and sooted. The breaks are worn. Date: Late Medieval to Post Medieval - c. 1400 - 1700 Dimensions: 54.94 mm x 24.75 mm, The handle is 12.30 mm in diameter Weight: 48.46 g.

A cast copper-alloy Post-Medieval s-shaped fastener dating to the 16th to 18th centuries. The fastener is S-shaped in plan and has a widened middle section that tapers towards the terminals at either end. Approximately half of a "cushion" type stone mace head, broken transversely in antiquity though the hourglass perforation, this was worked from both faces with a pecking stone and a pointed borer until they met in the middle, creating the distinctive profile of the shaft hole, from the ventral face this is circa. 39 mm diameter, constricting to 24.5 mm at the middle and then expanding to 32 mm on the dorsal face. Middle Saxon to Late Saxon sheet copper alloy hooked tag, oval plate with two attachment holes and a hook that has been distorted to become almost straight. Read 2008, early medieval single sharp-hooked clasp Class A, Type 2. Decoration comprises three incised concentric grooves covering most of the plate around a central perforation, with a line of punched dots between the two inner grooves. Width 14mm. Length 19mm. Weighs 0.53g. 8th - 11th century.

Front plate of a cast copper alloy composite dagger chape of probable late medieval or early post-medieval date (1400 -1600). The chape is sub-rectangular in plan and in profile. The two long sides taper along the length terminating in a rounded globular base with a small projecting rounded knop at the base.
